The Qatar e-Visa is an online visa that allows eligible foreign nationals to visit Qatar for short-term stays. The electronic visa system in Qatar was introduced in 2017 by the Qatari government. Now the e-Visa to Qatar is available through an intuitive online application process.

The tourist electronic visa for Qatar permits one stay in the country for up to 30 days. Visitors can also apply for a transit e-Visa to Qatar that allows them to remain in the country for 4 days (96 hours).

In order to get a Qatar visa electronically, a few steps are required: complete the Qatar e-Visa application form, attach supporting documents, and pay the fees. As soon as the Qatar e-Visa gets approved, an applicant will receive it via email.

*To be eligible for a Qatar electronic visa, citizens of countries marked with an "*" must upload one of the documents below:

a valid tourist or business visa issued by the US, UK, or one of the Schengen member countries (used at least once to enter the country that issued the visa);
a GCC residence visa (that remains effective for at least 3 months);
a permanent residence visa issued by the US, UK, or the EU member countries.

Qatar e-Visa application process

The online application process for a Qatar e-Visa can be completed in an effortless way: it is simple and can be submitted from anywhere.

Travelers do not need to attend an embassy or consulate in person. All you should do is follow these straightforward steps:

Fill out the application form. Provide your personal and travel information without errors.
Upload the required documents. Make digital copies using a device's camera or scanner.
Cover the processing fees. The available payment methods include PayPal, debit/credit cards, and others.

Applications are submitted through Qatar's official Hayya platform, the government's digital visa portal.

Do not forget to refresh your email account: first, right after the payment, you will receive an individual code of your application to check the status of your visa. Then, within 1–3 business days, you will get the result - an approval letter with a PDF document of Qatar e-Visa.
